amended: made better. The Nurse has just told the musicians to put their instruments into their cases, because "this [Juliet's death] is a pitiful case." First Musician apparently takes "pitiful case" as referring to the case for his pipe, and says the case can be repaired. I think the musician is also making a sad joke: the instrument case can be fixed, but the case of Juliet's death cannot.
