A Midsummer's Night Dream,
Act 1, Scene 1, line 76.
earthlier happy: happier on earth. the rose distill'd: metaphorically, a married woman. —Distillation concentrates a substance into its essence, and I believe that Shakespeare is thinking that a woman fulfills more of her 'essence' when she is married than when she is single.
