Note to King Lear, 1.1.123: "set my rest"

King Lear,
Act 1, Scene 1, line 123
"Set my rest" is a phrase used when playing the card game Primero, a forerunner of poker. It means "I'm betting everything on this one hand," so what Lear is saying is that he had planned to depend totally upon Cordelia, his favorite, in his declining years.
