common bound: ordinary leap. Leaping was a favorite feature of the dancing of Shakespeare's time, similar to the woodcut [taken from an oil painting hanging in Penshurst Palace] depicting the Earl of Leicester dancing a leaping La Volta with Queen Elizabeth I.
