Welcome to my web site, now under development for more than twenty years.
-- Philip Weller, November 13, 1941 - February 1, 2021
Dr. Weller, an Eastern Washington University professor of English and Shakespearean scholar for more than 50 years.
Note to Romeo and Juliet, 1.4.79: "And sometime comes she with a tithe-pig's tail"
tithe-pig: pig given in payment for a tithe. A tithe was literally one tenth of a person's income, a tax paid to the parson of a church, although in practice, often much less than ten percent of income was actually tithed.
