All of the horse diseases that Biondello mentions still afflict horses today. I originally thought it would be a good idea to find and publish photos of horses with the diseases, but after doing "glanders" I realized that such photos would produce pity rather than amusement. Therefore I have tried to give a taste of the effect that Shakespeare was aiming at by showing the following:
